“Hudson Mall, Sold to a Real Estate Investment Company “
The Hudson Mall has been sold to a Urban Edge Properties, a real estate investment trust that owns a number of malls and shopping centers. The sale price for Hudson Mall is $43.7 million.
The Hudson Mall includes Marshalls, Toys “R” Us, Staples, and Old Navy. Stores in Hudson Commons, which is also owned by Urban Edge Properties, are Lowe’s, P.C. Richard & Son, Advance Auto Parts/Mavis Discount Tire, Kid City, Party City, Burger King and Sleepy’s.
“Tory Burch Maybe Coming to Jersey City”
Tory Burch, the upscale purse and handbag maker, has been awarded a $10.1 million tax incentive to move its headquarters from Manhattan to Downtown Jersey City, the state Economic Development Authority announced.
Under the 10-year proposal, 102 jobs would be transferred and 37 new jobs would be created at a Washington Boulevard location. The company had been leasing 37,000 square feet in Manhattan, but the Jersey City space is nearly three times the size.
